Party Details - Do it Yourself

I love these simple and stylish party details from STYLE ME PRETTY. It would be so easy to do these details yourself for a dinner party with friends. Take advantage of the last few weeks of summer!

Check out some of the fun printable party details from PLUM PARTY. It is an easy way to add adorable details to your next party with grownups or for the kiddos.

Wishing for Watermelon

Watermelon makes me think of warm weather, fireflies and all things summer. While it is typically served at casual picnics, with creative presentation it is perfect for a summer dinner party.

Maybe serve a WATERMELON MOJITO at your next fete?

Or watermelon sorbet?

Or stick to the simple fruit, but get creative with the presentation.

Loving Lanterns

Lanterns continue to be all the rage and I love the look for entertaining. For a picnic, an intimate dinner outside (or in) or a wedding, a few lanterns are the perfect way to add a soft glow to your party.

Here is a shot of how Party Resources used lanterns to lead guests from the cocktail tent to the dinner tent.

Some other inspiration of how you can use them for entertaining

Dinner with a View

Last night we had dinner at my favorite restaurant on Cape Cod - THE RED INN in Provincetown. While Ptown is known for being same sex friendly, it is welcoming to everyone. The Red Inn is located in the most beautiful part of town all the way out to the very tip of the Cape. You can have cocktails while taking in the breathtaking view. It is the perfect spot for a party or to celebrate a special occasion.

The views are some of the best on the Cape

The food is a selection of delicious American Fare - enjoy pan roasted local cod, fresh lobster, Wellfleet Oysters, or the house special rack of lamb. Whatever you order you will not be disappointed!

They also have a small number of rooms with the same beautiful water views.

Summer Dinner on Cape Cod

Hello from the Cape! These are few shots of the view from the house taken by my amazingly talented brother.

Last night I made dinner which we enjoyed on the deck

The menu included a creative take on CAPRESE SALAD

My homemade caesar salad which is an adapted version of this RECIPE

Marinated FLANK STEAK cooked on the grill - the recipe is a family favorite and is deliciously simple

And for dessert deconstructed STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE

A delicious meal enjoyed with favorirte folks in a stunning setting truly is summer perfection!
