Winter Sledding Party

Here in New England it has been quite chilly. After months of mild weather, temps in the 20s are a bit of a shock! The upside? Skiing, snow shoeing and sledding. I LOVED the Sledding Party in the current issue of COUNTRY LIVING created by event planner KATE MARTIN.

The invites - adorable!

Or add a dash of rum or vodka for the adults. Note the hand stenciled table cloth with snowflakes!

Of course the dogs are invited too

And roasting marshmallows

Gathering around the bonfire at the end of the night - so fun!

Winter White Weddings

While I realize that summer is the most popular time for weddings, I think there is something magical about a wedding in the winter. The rich colors, the crisp white, photos in the snow and a touch of fur!

How fun are these details from various weddings?

Deer are all the rage and I love them incorporated as part of a wedding theme.

Bridal party fashions that embrace the season

Winter flowers

Comfort food on the menu - yes please!

Brrrr...It's Cold Outside

Happy 2013 fab readers! I hope you had a wonderful holiday season filled with family and friends. Winter has arrived in Boston and it was 8 degrees when I got up this morning. Brrr! Today I would much rather stay inside in front of the fire.

The perfect cocktail for freezing weather? A Hot Toddy will take off the chill when you come home from the office or off the slopes. RECIPE

It's 5:00 somewhere right?!
