Party Tips: Debby of Inspired Designs

Debby is a fellow blogger (and style maven) based here in Boston. I love her style and am delighted that she agreed to share her favorite tips for entertaining. Be sure to check out her BLOG.

Favorite Cocktail:
When you have a large crowd the last thing you want to do is to be stuck behind the bar making each drink separately.  The solution? Here is a great recipe for the perfect holiday punch.   RECIPE

Favorite Recipe:
Ina Garten's Chicken with Herbed Goat Cheese RECIPE

Favorite Restaurants:
Debby loves LA FAMALGIA in Boston's historic North End district.  It is small and charming.  You can't beat the prices and the portions are enormous.

Debby's other favorite spot is LOLA 41 in Nantucket for it's chic ambiance.  They are known for their Lola Burger, which is considered one of the best in the country.

Favorite Party Sources:
POTTERY BARN'S 12 piece caterer's set in white is perfect for any occasion.  You can easily dress up the white plates by using chargers, linens, for any holiday.

PIER 1 is perfect for holiday parties with a large selection of fun and whimsical napkin rings, chargers, decorative items, etc.

Best Party Tips:
*Order a tiramisu (or another favorite dessert) ahead of time to have one less thing to worry about.

*Candles, music and lighting can create ambiance.  Line the walk with candles to set the mood before the guests even ring the doorbell.

*Do as much as you can ahead of time so that you can just relax and enjoy your guests!

Thanks, Debby! These are the perfect ideas to kick off the holiday season.
