Wrap It Up

After all of the shopping is done, it is time to wrap your gifts and I love to pick a theme for each year. Some ideas I love...

This year I went for an unexpected color pairing - turquoise and deep red. (Pardon the lousy photo). I used business card stock from Paper Source and a silver stamp with Joyeux  Noel to make my own gift tags.

How are you wrapping your gifts this year?

Stunning Wedding Blooms

I thought maybe everyone could use a respite from the holidays. One of our favorite brides, Linley, is doing a series for Brides Magazine's Blog on all aspects of her wedding. So fun right? Be sure to check the piece HERE where she highlights how she picked her bridal blooms with our favorite florist - Felicity.

Classic Comfort Food - Tomato Bisque and Grilled Cheese Croutons

For Thanksgiving I was in charge of the first course and made tomato bisque. The soup was a huge hit and I wanted to share it with all of you. RECIPE

Paired with grilled cheese croutons it would be the perfect supper on a chilly night. Crouton RECIPE.

Game On Turkey!

One of the many perks of having your mum be a top event planner is that she hosts the holidays - including Thanksgiving. I will bring the cocktail nibbles. But since I also love to cook and entertain I have been thinking of some recipes I would try if I were cooking.

Nothing is more important than a succulent turkey. I love this recipe for a roast turkey brined with salt, apple cider, rosemary, garlic, brown sugar and oranges. Yu-um! RECIPE

Cranberry Relish - one of my favorites RECIPE

I could easily skip everything else and just have a plate of stuffing. Is there anything better? I would love to try this Three Mushroom Stuffing with Prosciutto RECIPE

For dessert a Bourbon Pecan Pie RECIPE with fresh whipped cream.

And I always serve champagne with dessert. Perfect to toast for everything you are thankful for...

Happy Thanksgiving and I will be back on Friday as I turn the page to Christmas.
