During the next few weeks I have invited some of my favorite bloggers over for a glass of good cheer and to share their tips for holiday entertaining. My first guest is Debby of INSPIRED DESIGN.
Best Source For Holiday Party Inspiration
WILLIAMS SONOMA has a wealth of holiday inspiration from delicious recipes, homemade gift ideas and more!
Favorite Holiday Cocktail for Serving Guests
Debby's idea of a cocktail is soda water mixed with cranberry juice. For those of you who are looking for a festive holiday drink to serve your guests then look no further than a CRANBERRY MARTINI - perfect for the season.
Favorite Party You Attend or Host Every Holiday Season
Every year Debby's family does a Yankee Swap and they usually all purchase one joke gift and one nice gift. It's so much fun having no idea what is going to be in the package you select. It's a blast to watch the recipient's face when they get a joke gift that takes them by surprise. It's inexpensive, full of laughs and always a fun time.
Debby was given the coffee table book A NANTUCKET CHRISTMAS and adores it. It's a gorgeous book that sits on her coffee table and she enjoys it every year. Anyone would love a copy!
Best Holiday Tunes For Entertaining
Make a play list and mix some holiday classics with new holiday tunes, especially if your party guests range in age. Bing Crosby and Nat King Cole to Mariah Carey and even some new Justin Bieber if there are kids in attendance.
Favorite Holiday Tradition
The tree goes up every year the day after Thanksgiving. The Christmas music gets turned up loud, the lights sparkle in the windows... there is nothing better than turning the house in to a winter wonderland!
I had to laugh about finding inspiration in catalogs..done, never thought of that. All great ideas and love Bing at Christmas!
ReplyDeleteLove this post..from two of my favorite bloggers! Still stuck on the cranberry martini, yum! And yes to the idea of a joke gift, I love pranks and feel you are never too old for them.
ReplyDeleteI have to get that book...looks beautiful, great gift idea!
Thanks to both of you, so beautifully done!
I'm a huge fan of the WS catalog and I must try out that martini - perhaps when I'm trimming the tree next week! Happy weekend, Kate.
