Party Resources wanted to partner with one of our favorite bloggers THE ENCHANTED HOME to offer a giveaway of THE book for entertaining this year. We are delighted to offer two SIGNED copies of Bite by Bite to one of our readers. This way you can give a copy to a friend and keep one for yourself!
Celebrity caterer Peter Callahan is one of our favorite caterers and someone we consider a friend. His career spans over two decades and a client list including celebrities, politicians, Fortune 500 companies, and socialites. Peter and his staff are not only the best in the business, they are also the nicest!
Peter's much anticipated cookbook is due out at the end of the month. He welcomes readers to share in his creations, providing inspiration for parties—whether casual gatherings, dinner parties, baby showers, or formal occasions such as weddings and holiday fetes—and recipes for the home cook. According to Callahan, being prepared is the key to pulling off a self-catered party like a professional. With that in mind, he has included a “Kitchen Tools and Conveniences” section, listing the key equipment that will help you create the delicious masterpieces in this book.
The rules: Please leave a comment here and then hop on over to THE ENCHANTED HOME and leave a comment there too with your favorite party idea. You must be a follower of The Enchanted Home and Party Resources to be elligible. Friends and family are welcome. The winner will be randomly chosen the morning of September 6th. You must be a resident of the US. Good luck!
I just found you via enchanted home and what a wonderful giveaway who doesn't love a fabulous cookbook. I would become a follwer but it doesn't seem to be appearing on your blog so I'll try back later. Thank you for hosting this wonderful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteA signature cocktail (kid or adult) and interesting flowers/center piece really would make all these great bites stand out!
ReplyDeleteWhat an cool and adorable book! Would love to try these out at home!!!
ReplyDeleteI also found you through Enchanted Home. Being a terminal "foodie" myself I love this giveaway...and I can always use one more cookbook!
ReplyDeleteI love little bites of food for parties like Peter features. I do wonton wrappers filled with ricotta cheese, parmesan, fresh basil and garlic. Top it with another wrapper and saute in EVOO until golden...serve with Sicilian salsa and WOW. I also saute small, cheese tortelinni in EVOO and string on bamboo skewers with a tomato dipping sauce. My list goes on and on! I'd love to win!
This cookbook looks awesome! I like to have all the goodies labeled so guests can enjoy without me repeating the menu all night...then I can enjoy too!
ReplyDeleteI just came over from The Enchanted Home and signed up to follow you! This is a GRERAT give away. We love to entertain so this would be a great resource and inspiration. Thanks!!!!

visiting from the enchanted home! new follower! this book looks amazing! favorite party tip... i always label my drink pitchers with cute little shipping tags... this is especially great if i'm offering alcoholic and virgin drinks for my guests. looking forward to following along on your fabulous blog!!
ReplyDeleteThis cookbook looks like a must-have for entertaining! I love creating unexpected details and this seems like a perfect resource for that.
ReplyDeleteVisiting from The enchanted home and so glad to have found your fantastic blog. I need a good entertaining blog! Love this book and my two favorite tips are I like to make my own ice cubes and freeze them with either berries or dried flower petals, whatever might work for the occasion
ReplyDeleteAnd when I set a table, I always put small votive candles next to each place setting, and dress it up accordingly, for Christmas I will put some evergreen and berries around it, for summer I might put sand in the bottom and glue on a few shells to the glass, I like to get really creative!
Love this giveaway and thank you for the introduction to this wonderful book.
Visiting from The Enchanted Home. So happy to discover your blog from that site. Can't wait to see your book! I'm looking forward to following your posts.
ReplyDeleteBite by Bite is a visual delight!
ReplyDeleteI found you thru Enchanted Home, and will therefore leave the same ideas. TIP 1: When I have a guest who abstains from alcohol and white sugar I like to make specialty ice cubes for their sparkling water. Mix fresh lemon juice and honey with hot water. Fill the ice cube trays with this mixture, then add a fresh mint leaf and raspberry to each. When the ice cubes melt, the water will be lightly flavored, and your guest will appreciate the thoughtful gesture. TIP 2: If making ice ring molds filled with herbs, flowers, etc, use distilled water - it freezes more clearly.
Kate,
ReplyDeleteYou know I adore you and your chic entertaining style! As someone who loves to entertain myself, I would be beyond thrilled and excited to actually cook from Peter's cookbook. My cookbooks are not priceless gems on a shelf in my house, I use them with great pride. If I don't win I will be buying this inspirational book! Hope you are enjoying the final days of summer.
I love to cook and this book would be a perfect addition to my collection of cookbooks and looks like it has a lot of fun ideas..for sit-downs I like to use my (growing collection) of blue-and-white china..I place flameless candles (votive sized) in the teacups and espresso cups to add to the ambience. These are great any time of year. New follower.
