Hi! Ina is the doyenne of great cooking and user friendly recipes in my book....love her and use her recipes all the time. Humm...for me the pesto and peas with pasta is yummy, her tradtional chicken and of course the beef bourguinon recipe is awesome too....all her recipes are winners in my book....but havne't tried any of her desserts yet. She seems like a genuinely nice person to boot:)
ReplyDeleteHave all of her books, and give them as hostess gifts often.
ReplyDeleteI have made the tenderloin w.gorgonzola for Christmas dinner for several years now. Fabulous.Just made her stewed lentils and tomatoes this morning and am also doing her chicken piccata.
Love her!
I have been a long time lover of all things Ina. Her maple oatmeal scones are a family favorite and I've made the apple tart above for a dinner party.
ReplyDeleteDon't count me in for the give away a I have her entire collection, but just wanted to leave you a little note!!

I'd happily pull up my chair to her dinner table! One of my sons has severe food allergies which include eggs. We have found a couple of her brownie mixes work well for him. He keeps a stash in his college dorm room to bake in between my goodie filled boxes shipped to him. I'm on your subscriber list Kate, right? I know I just come here every day, no prompts required! xo Cathy
ReplyDeleteHi! I'm a follower, and first time poster! This was so timely because my first task this morning was to find Ina's caramel candy recipe. One of my favorite recipes is her yummy chocolate ganache cupcakes! She makes everything seem so easy and elegant.
ReplyDeleteIf I listed all my favorites, I'd be here forever - there's not one recipe of hers I've botched! Along with the boeuf Bourgignon, I love her "vegetable pot pie", her "pasta, peas and pesto" and her "old fashioned apple crisp"... and so many more. I have all her books but thei one so my fingers are crossed!

Of course LOVE Ina - her recipes are so easy and perfect for entertaining. I love many from her books but the one I use ALL the time is the sun dried tomato dip. I put it in a hollowed out purple cabbage - it is beautiful, festive and delicious. Already own this so won't enter but wanted to stop by, especially since I love Ina so much!
ReplyDeleteOoh, the Barefoot Contessa at Home cookbook has a fantastic chicken piccata recipe! I made it just last week, and my fussbudget kiddies were asking for seconds. My 8 year old son even asked if I could make it again this week!
ReplyDeleteIna's Company Pot Roast is amazing! Great giveaway :)
ReplyDeleteMy mom (an Ina disciple) makes a gluten-free version of her mac-n-cheese for me that is the perfect comfort food! Mom + melted cheesy goodness = perfection
ReplyDeleteKate I just saw your comment on my color post. I am glad it warmed you up a bit and made you feel sunny. I feel so badly for all of you that are suffering in this cold weather. I have a friend in Texas that has no water so she had to heat up SNOW to do her dishes. Oh my , what we take for granted in Calif.
ReplyDeleteI loooooove Ina and I agree she is my fav. Love her 4 cheese Mac and cheese, it is a fav of everyone who taste it and her Beef Bourguignon is beyond amazing!!! I love her ease of entertaining style and her home is fabulous. Love INA!!!

What a great giveaway. I love her wedding soup...it's amazing!!
ReplyDeleteMy husband loves her Beef Bourguignon - I'm more of a sweets person and think Ina's Pecan Squares are heavenly!
ReplyDeletePan-Fried Onion Dip from Barefoot Contessa Cookbook. It would be perfect for a SuperBowl gathering this week. Double or triple as needed and serve with pita chips. It is life changing (ha-ha)!
ReplyDeleteI think Ina makes food that even a guy like me can follow. Have you had her version of chicken salad? That is by far my favorite.
ReplyDeleteMr. Goodwill Hunting
i love her brownies!

Too many recipes to love...to little time to make and eat them all! However, I do think that the Chocolate covered stawberries would go perfectly with the Pomegranate Cosmos : )
ReplyDeleteOh, I love her... I have all of her cookbooks except for How Easy is That? Such a great giveaway!! xo
ReplyDeleteI have so many Ina favorites! Her french toast is insane! Also love her tomatoes provencal recipe. I made it as a Christmas app last year...divine.

Love Ina! Can't believe I don't have any of her books yet!
ReplyDeleteI have wanted one of her cookbooks for quite awhile now! Her croissant bread pudding and mack and cheese recipes look heavenly though!
ReplyDeleteToo funny... Just yesterday (yet another snow day!) the kids and I were watching Ina's show and I said, for the millionth time, how hers is the only show where I love everything/every course she makes. Liam said he loves her show because she always makes dessert!
ReplyDeleteHer Pot Roast is excellent. And perfect for this time of year!
ReplyDeleteAs I was lucky enough to have the Bolognese Sauce lovingly prepared by you, Kate, Ina holds a special place in my heart!
ReplyDeleteFound you from Haven and Home! Those recipes have me drooling- can she come live with me?! xo, Corinna

I actually already have both of her cookbooks, but I just had to respond that her Beatty's chocolate cake recipe is to die for! I am a HUGE Barefoot fan!!!
ReplyDeleteI love her herb-baked eggs recipe from "Barefoot in Paris." Simple, hearty and delicious. My 14 year old daughter begs me to make them at least once a month.

Tortilla soup - delish!
ReplyDeleteI love Ina as well. In fact, I DVR her show and watch while I am feeding my baby boy. I love lots of her recipes but have her fennel stuffed pork loin on my "to try" list. Her Linguini with Shrimp Scampi is a weeknight favorite in our house....we do it with chicken too, the lemon flavor adds so much. Yummm. (I received the "How Easy is That" cookbook for Christmas and am loving it.)
ReplyDeleteIna and her recipes are so approachable. I think that is her appeal. I would LOVE to be a guest in her kitchen and get a close-up view of her barn kitchen. I love the dynamic between Ina and Jeffrey, who is a Dartmouth grad, which endears him even more to me.
ReplyDeleteNo need to include me in the giveaway as I have all of her books. I just wanted to comment.
