The countdown is on with less than 4 weeks to go until the Wedding of the Century. (No pressure Kate...) Since so many people are gathering together to watch it, I thought it would be fun to come up with items for a cocktail party in honor of the young royals.
Invites on BRITISH POSTCARDS
Cocktails have to be Pimms Cup RECIPE
And Gin Gimlets RECIPE
Cocktail NAPKINS in a plaid of course!
For party favors, each guest will get a wrapped copy of this BOOK
And a CUSTOM MUG
Hors d'ouevres from British Celeb Chef JAMIE OLIVER
Grilled Rosemary Flat Bread RECIPE
Hush Puppies RECIPE
Marinated Olives RECIPE
Smoked Salmon Rolls RECIPE
Baby Artichoke Bruschette RECIPE
Assorted cheeses, crackers and FIG JAM
And some sweet Chocolate Biscuits to top off the evening with a round of champagne to toast the couple RECIPE
Cheers!
What fun! I've been invited to a "royal breakfast" to watch the wedding broadcast. The first 12 to arrive get a tiara! The only problem is the event starts at 3:30AM!

Can I be invited? I promise to bring scones and jam! Seriouly love those plaid coctail napkins...how fitting. I would have to totally surrender myself to the rosemary flatbread, and only eat olives by the dozens..so have plenty on hand. Then I would have to down a few Gimlets in honor of my grandparents and their drink du jour....sounds like a grand party to me...count me in!
ReplyDeleteWhy don't I live closer to you?!!! I would join you in a second for a fete like this.
ReplyDeleteHere's to bride & groom!

I would bring pairs of illustrated wellies and bumbershoots for the party place settings or tiny notes to attach to the books! What a sweet showering of items to create a lovely engagement cocktail!

I am so excited for the couple! So looking forward to the day! Enjoy the fabulous day, Kellie xx
ReplyDeleteAnd to think they didn't hire you to plan their party! Love the Pimm's cup - the very first "adult drink" I ever tasted thanks to a grumpy English governess (long story!)
