Having grown up in New England and now calling Boston home, for me lobster is the perfect summer meal.

My favorite place for a casual supper of lobster and a cold beer is WOODMAN'S in Essex. If you don't live near the ocean, they will also ship fresh lobsters and fixings to your door.



They also make a great lobster roll.

    I've been thinking lobsters this week - I haven't had my summer lobster roll yet! A few summers ago we threw a clambake (ok...a cousin to the lobster) and had the most adorable invitations. I dream of doing it again - next time, lobsters!

    Hope we get to hear more about the big Hamptons wedding y'all threw!!

    LOVE this post!!! Had my first lobster roll yesterday and it was heaven on earth....love lobster. This post makes me want to have a lobster bake on the beach, love Fine Stationary have been buying from them for years....they have great things.     I was just thinking of lobster for dinner tonight ~ in a salad. We live on the skirts of mystic where the lobsters are always in high supply. Thanks for the tip in Essex. I'm there at least once a month for shopping, friends and of course the Eliza B company store.
