While in Maine for the weekend, I picked up a copy of HARVEST TO HEAT as a birthday gift for a friend. (He is a serious cook.) The book is a must for anyone who loves to cook and has amazing recipes from the best chefs across the country. They also have a great BLOG.
The authors Darryl Estrine and Kelly Kochendorfer
Some of the wonderful photos of the artisans, farmers and famous chefs
And the food
Kate, you have convinced me to buy the book! Looks wonderful.

WOW!!!! Looks amazing, going to Google right after to order, love to cook and they seem to have adapted the farm to table movement which is so big and catching up...just went to Blue Hill at Stone Barns and got to experience Dan Barbers similiar type fair and it was such a treat..definitely getting this book, thanks!
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I are serious Top Chef fans and I just spotted some of my favorite chefs!! Thanks for introducing the cookbook - I need to go check it out!!
ReplyDeleteI was not familiar with the authors or this book - will most definitely be checking it out - everything looks fabulous!!
ReplyDeleteOrdering this gem as soon as I comment! You know how much I love farm to table cooking and this book is perfect! Reminds me of the Top Chef where the contestants had to grab ingredients off of farm carts and use it in their recipes. Great find, Kate!
